Who we are
BANIK Advisory is a tax, VAT, accounting and company compliance practice in Dhaka. This notice covers the information you give us through our website, its forms, WhatsApp and email.

What we collect
What you type into our forms:
- Order form: name, phone/WhatsApp number, email (optional), who the service is for, business name and your note.
- Contact form: name, phone/WhatsApp number, your message, how you want a reply, and your email if you want a reply by email.
Documents you send us for your work — such as your NID, TIN certificate, bank statements, salary certificate, invoices and accounts.
Some technical information: to stop spam, a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address is kept for a short time when you send a form. Your language and light/dark choice are stored only in your own browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. To count visits and button clicks we use Plausible Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not record who you are — never your name, phone number or messages.
Why we use it
- To reply to your question or order.
- To provide the service you asked for — for example to prepare and file your return.
- To keep records the law requires.
- To protect the website from spam and misuse.
We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Orders and messages from the forms: [TO CONFIRM].
- Your work documents and records: as long as the law requires after the work is done [TO CONFIRM], then we delete them.
- Anti-spam IP information: a short time (minutes up to one day).
Who can see it
- Only the people at BANIK Advisory who work on your file.
- Our technology providers that store or carry the information: website hosting (Hostinger), WhatsApp and email services, and Plausible Analytics (anonymous visit counts only).
- Government offices (such as NBR or RJSC) — only when we file something on your behalf with your agreement, or when the law requires it.
- The map on the contact page comes from Google (it loads only when you scroll to it), so Google can then see your IP address.
Your choices: see, correct or delete
To find out what we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it, email or WhatsApp us. We delete it unless the law requires us to keep a record, and we reply within [TO CONFIRM] days.
How we keep it safe
The website uses HTTPS (an encrypted connection). Form entries are stored in a password-protected area that cannot be opened from the website. Never send us passwords or bank PINs — we will never ask for them.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we will show it on this page with a new date.
